Christmas Wishes

Genuinely, Christmas is my favourite. How can anyone not like Christmas?! The festivities, the food, the happy moods, the lights, the beautiful decorations, seeing someone open a present that you’ve put so much thought into, PIGS IN BLANKETS, opening presents, Christmas films, dressing up, drinking, dancing, parties, mistletoe, mulled wine… the list really is endless.

Christmas came early for me this year as I was offered an amazing new job which I’ll be starting in the new year, but I’ve asked Santa for a Keyboard this year. I grew up with a piano and played from a young age right up until I moved out of home. I couldn’t take the piano with me unfortunately as I moved into a flat and I’ve never had anything to play since which I’ve really missed. So I’m hoping having a keyboard will keep me occupied until I move into a house so that I can get a proper piano again. It also means I’ll be able to sing and write some songs at home which I love to do. What have you asked for this Christmas?

I’ll be spending Christmas Day with my family, with my Dad cooking the dinner this year (he does the best roast potatoes ever!) and I can’t wait. I’ve got a few days off work too so I can do lots of Christmassy things! Christmas Day usually starts with breakfast at someone’s house (it was mine last year) and present swapping with my Mum and sisters and walking the dogs in their Christmas jumpers! We split up for lunch and then come back together in the evening for games and more food! It really is a lovely day and it fills me with happiness!

Christmas really is all about loved ones though and that’s why I love it so much. I couldn’t think of a better day than spending it with my family, seeing them smiling and enjoying themselves. It’s such a lovely feeling!

It’s also important to remember those that aren’t so lucky, so doing something to help such as donating presents or food to those less fortunate is a great way to help.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and get everything you’ve wished for.

Seasons Greetings,
